question about Sony KV32S26

I have a Sony KV32S26 that constantly flashes after an initial blank screen of 8-10 minutes. The screen then goes off and on constantly. The sound and red LED are working. After researching these symptoms on forums I bought a Sony power supply kit from Electronix.
I plan on replacing Q601: C4834, Q602: C4834, R607: .1 ohm fusible resistor and the HOT.
Do you think this will solve the problem. It seems that the kit solved peoples problem that had a dead screen, but what about a blinking screen? I haven't removed the cover yet, waiting for the parts to arrive.

Thanks for any replies.

How old is this set? Is the color bad on it when the picture is there? It sounds like the tube is weak. The micro in this set keeps the tube cut off (dark) during the warm up period. After the tube warms, the micro unblanks the tube. However, if the tube is weak, it doesn't get to the threshold needed for the micro to unblank it.
You can try this: Open up the set and bump up the G2 control located on the flyback transformer. That may buy you some time.

The TV is 10 years old. The color seems alright.
