We have a Sony Trinitron KV-27EXR95 from either 1992 or 1993. The Tv turns on fine but after 10 or so minutes of use, it seems to shut off by itself. I have unplugged the power cord from the outlet and let it stand for awhile, but after connecting that and turning the TV on again, it turns off again after a few minutes.
Is this something I can fix myself, and if so, how? We would really appreciate any help out there...thank you in advance.

Check the Regulator.if you know electronics if not than there's nothing you can do but to look for a tech. help.

You can check my post of today since I have a similar problem with my Ferguson. I suspect there is a problem with transformer. My has been changed but appears to be faulty. I am going to change the transformer again to see whether the problem remains. Will let you know.
