The cable connection on tv

Hello. My question has to do with the cable connection on most tv's. I recently recieved cable and had to hook the cable cord into the back of my tv, however the cable thats on the television was destroyed or pushed in somehow so its like there's just a whole and you kinda have to rig it up with copperwire. Is there a way you a new cable piece can be put into a television or is there a way of connecting by bypassing hooking into the cable?

yes, you can use the VCR as a Tuner, you also can order the RF connector and solder it back in the tuner, i've done that many times special on RCA, i used any connector that i can find in the scrap yard from any other tv set and adapt it to there, but you have to use soder tool at leat 100w.
