When u turn on the 32" tv, it comes on and then shuts off but the light stays on so i know it still on. I found a little trick. If i hit the last channel button a couple of times it would pop back on. Normally after doing that a few times it would stay on. Until a couple a weeks ago and now i do the trick and it stays on for 2 mins and goes back down. Did that for 4hrs.
I took it to a tv repair shop. He called and said i needed a new power supply and that the pic tube was weak and needed to be adjusted, no problem. After not hearing back from him for awhile i called and now he's saying he can't get it fixed. Please help. Does anyone have any ideas???
Thanks Alot,
Debbie

It sounds like the power supply capacitors are low and need replaced. Chances are your guy wishes to change panels and that panel is not vailable. Your tube being weak is an issue, your set wont last long so is it worth the expendature for X months of life left, that is your hard call.

the repair guy called and said he had it fixed, when i went to pick it up it shut off immediately. I took it home(which was yesterday) and when it turned on shut off but then just changed the channel on the tv and then went back to 3 and it stayed on. But today it's doing the same thing stays on for a few mins then goes black. I can do the little trick(the change channel thing) but it will only stay for mins. I love this tv please help. I'm almost willing to do anything to save it. If i had the pic tube replaced would it make it like having a new tv?
