This is the most beautiful peice of $hit i have ever owned !
Ive had this tv for a little over a year now. And many problems durring that time. At first the sound would crackle on and off but now it has quit working completely. The lamp burned out about 2 months ago and i replaced it. It worked fine ( without Sound ) for about 1 month and then stopped. I checked the lamp it was fine. The tv shuts itself off after being on for about 30 seconds. And when it is on the cable will not come in unless you hook it up through a vcr on a video input . The last time it was on i was watching cable through my vcr when my tv just shuts off and gives me the lamp message. i cant get it to stay on at all. It just powers up for 30 seconds and shuts off.
In conclusion here are the problems :
1. NO SOUND
2. Cable doesnt work through the normal vhf/uhf screw input.
3. Tv shuts itself off after 30 seconds and tells me the lamp is bad
( but the lamp is fine )
IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN HELP I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT . I WOULD LIKE TO FIX THIS MYSELF IF POSSIBLE. THANK YOU

That is not a bad set. First of all, when you changed the original lamp, you should have gone into the menu and reset the lamp timer. Also, be aware that this set probably has 3 fans so there could be a dust issue. Clean it out.
As to the cable reception, make sure the tuner is set to "cable" and not "air"

yea i reset the lamp timer when it was replaced. The tuner is set to cable . Now the thing just wont stay on. it claims its the lamp with the led alerts. ive tried about everything. i guess im gonna have to get rid of it

First problem is all this happened while it was under Warentee but now,after a year you do have a problem, There has been some problems with cold solder joints in this model, also if a fan stops the set should shut down after 30 secons, but --- since you have multiple problems this should be hauled off to the repair shop. sound like a corupt main micro or a possible 5 volt supply problem, either way this would be way beyond the shade tree tv fixer to repair
