I have a model vs-6021r 60" rear projection tv. Severl years ago, it quit powering up and we had a service man come to fix it. It lasted another five or so years and has now quit again. I have found that the power board is where the problem lies. My question is: does anybody have a power supply board model 935c31801.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9 laying around that they would be willing to part with? Not sure if this matters but there is a red permanent marker mark on the one that seems to identify that this is the first version of the board.

Please elaborate on how you determined that the power board is the problem. In most cases, that board is not going to be available, however, a tech can repair that one.

The powe board for this set ( 935C318003 ) Is way past being avalible, Most manufactures will only carry parts for seven years, As your set is now 17 years old the only hope would be to rebuild it at the componet level. But at 17 would it be worth it

I came to the conclusion that the power board was the problem because for a while, the tv would come on after several tries until one day it just wouldnt. Once it got started, it would stay on and work great but once it got turned off it was hard to get back. When you use both the remote and the front panel controls, there is a clicking coming from one of the devices on the power board like it is trying to come on but just does not finish the process. Ok, so that was more of history than what made me think it was the board. I pulled the board from the tv to examine it and there are two resistors that have burned on the back side of the board. I do have some experience with repairing electronics, so it would not be very much trouble to attempt fixing this board. I was simply hoping there was someone else out there with the same unit that the picture tube or sound board had gone out on that would be wanting to part out their system.
Aside from that, I know the tv is almost 20 years old and I didnt expect to find a board from mitsubishi: But less the problem with the power, there has been no other problem with the tv, and the picture (the last time i saw it) was just a clear and bright as the day we got it. Also, I did try some of the local shops to see if they would do the repair for me (didnt have much free time to work on it at the time) but they said they wouldnt do anything without the entire TV or by making a house call. Moving a 60 inch is really unfeasible, and a house call being several hundred dollars just didnt seem to be a very good idea at the time.
The main reason I thought about looking for a 'new' board is that there was one on ebay however i missed it by a day, thought there might be more floating around somewhere.

One more thing, one of you guys that knows more about this than me: Were there other models that would have used the same board or was this a model specific power system? Any model numbers for boards or tvs would be helpful in the event that I keep looking for a board.
