I have a panasonic pt50lc14 that has a dark picture. I have the brightness turned all the way up and some other settings out of adjustment to compensate and the picture looks good in hd but when watching regular especially if the picture is stretched it looks terrible and obviously I should not have to adjust the settings so far from the norm. While replacing the lamp I noticed that the piece that the lamp shines through (I'm assuming it seperates the colors) appears to have a layer of dust at the bottom and was wondering if this was causing my problem or is there something else I should check and can that piece be removed to clean as I cant see how to reach the erea where the dust is without removing it?
