I have a 54" Samsung PCN5425R projection TV, about 4 years old. A week or so ago, it started having a problem. After the set is fully warmed up (half an hour or so), the picture fades in and out. It'll be nearly black one second, then come back 10 seconds later. Sometimes it appears as if it is only one or two of the colors fading, but otherwise the entire picture fades to almost totally black. It's as if someone was screwing with the brightness control or something.
Posted on another forum and had suggestions to look at the power supply section of the circuit, but I really don't know enough to troubleshoot further - any tips? I've had plenty of electronics experience but nothing on TVs. Looking inside I see nothing obvious wrong, except for a good coating of dust everywhere.
