6 yr old jvc AV27230. Picture is washed out and has horizontal lines at a very slight diaganol. You can see some faint color through it all. Would it be more reasonable to fix it or junk it? I just now tried using the menu button to adjust the brightness. The picture totally went out.

Sounds like the video out chip has gone, but it could be the tube, no way to tell, thats your call.
