I have owned this toshiba 50hm67 projection hdtv for just over a year(just after the factory warranty expired) and it has finally come down with a problem. The thing just wont power up.. The bulb is fine, and toshiba just recommended me to take it to the local tv repair shop(that is estimated to cost about 600 bucks) and i just dont have the cash atm and the tv is just sitting in the corner. Anyways i was wondering if anyone has any ideas to fix it or what the problem would be. Toshiba isnt helping at all.
The problem is that, i believe, it is stuck in the power up mode. A yellow led just keeps blinking on the front. It just wont come on. The power went off one day and the power protection thing kicked in and it hasnt worked since... all i get is a blinkinh yellow led..... i have tried it all( that i know, and im good with electronics) any help would be greatly appreciated.
