Initial tv, have lost all controls but power button

I have a 32 inch Initial brand LCD tv that I received as a gift a while back. Recently the tv lost all functions other than the power button. Tried new batteries anyway and found no change. Unplugged tv for a short while and found no change when power was returned. Programmed universal remote also and found no change. Does anyone have any ideas or help that may solve my problem?
