My father gave me a TV, and it needs fixed.
It is a Samsung Projection HCL5515W.
What it is doing is: When the cable is plugged into the back, the picture will only show up in Black/N/White.
My father told me when he had the HD Comcast box hooked up through the "jacks"..."Like Comp 1", the color would be there, but after a few hours, it would have double vision.
If he hooked back up to the straight cable connection.."as I have it right now", it is black n white again.
I don't have a HD box, to even hook it up that way to test it right now, with the jacks. But I have the straight cable connection and it is black n white still.
He had broken the cable connector loose at one point, while moving the TV, and thats when it started doing this.
He had a TV repair guy solder that connector back on, "for the cable to connect to" , and it kept doing it.
Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks very much for any input!!!
