Hi
Have got a Bauer 32" lcd tv, guess it's a chinese import, got it from Tesco but it's now out of warranty.
The problem is that the AV sockets no longer work, when i use the remote it shows AV on the screen but anything connected via the AV do not show. Have tried a different AV cable and even connected different hardware but no success.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Could be two things, you have broken track around the AV plugs, or the more likely you plug the thing in live and you got a static charge which blew up the input IC so you need a new input panel. Find that and you are a lucky guy.
