My Akai LCD TV will not stay on (or off), it keeps cycling. This began right after a static shock jumped from my finger to the on/off switch.
I tried unplugging (rebooting) it, no luck.
If I hold down any of the buttons on the side of the set, it will stay on (or off), but I have no control through the panel.
If I hold down a panel button, I do have complete control of the TV with the remote.
Could the static shock have fried the on-set controls? It wasn't much of a shock.
