We have a 36" JVC AV36150 Television. It suddenly stopped working and we can not get it to restart. I would like to repair it if possible. It gave off an odor when it went out. I believe it is a power supply or board. I checked JVC site and they have the following parts listed for it:
SWITCH.TRANSF. - PWR TRANSFORMER QQS0063-001, P.W.BOARD ASSY SGF-3001A-M2, H.V.TRANSF. QQH0062-001. Could someone out there familiar with this type of problem give me advice on which part to try? Thanks in advance!

A LOT OF THOSE SETS WILL COME BACK ON IF YOU CHANGE ALL OF THE CAPACITORS
NEAR THE POWER REGULATOR IC BUT BEFORE YOU GO THERE USE YOUR METER SET ON DIODE TEST AND CHECK THE HORZONIAL OUTPUT TRANSISTOR FROM E TO C FOR A SHORT
IF SO THE TRANSISTOR IS BAD AND THE HIGH VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER IS BAD TOO.
GOOD LUCK
