I have a 26" Sylvania I got it for free from a friend, as far as she knew the tv would no longer power up, I took the back off and found that the fuse was blown. The blown fuse was black, I bought new fuses and changed and as soon as I plugged in the set the fuse flashed and blew immediately. I contacted a local TV repair place who said that they can not repair the board, they would have to replace entire board, well that would cost more than the free tv is worth. Anyone have any suggestions what I may be able to do here, I am thinking and hoping that there is not much wrong, but I need a place to start.
