Response to Typhoon Dorothy: July 14 to July 20, 1973 |
| I can provide two links that will show that Typhoon Dot was not anywhere near HK on July 20. I will wait so you can research this more.
I live on the east coast of the USA, I have been through many of these storms, only here we call them hurricanes, but they are the same thing.
Keep in mind that on July 20, Linda went shopping with a friend, Raymond drove to Bruce's house, then they drove to Betty's, then Raymond drove to the Miramar to meet Lazemby for dinner. And then Bruce was supposed to join them.
I can tell you from first hand experience, that when one of these storms is bearing down on your city, you can't do any of the things above. Why? Because your city is shut down. There is nothing open. No schools, business, no restaurants, etc. All you can do is stay at home, lose power, ride out the storm and hope the winds don't knock a tree down on your house. That did happen to me during Hurricane Bertha.
Another thing, Linda made a statement saying that Bruce had collapsed while they were walking in their garden. Who would go for a walk with a Typhoon raging overhead? | |
