Still 0-0.
Lots of scrums after the whistles .
One might think these teams are starting to dislike each other.
GOOD!

Irony.
After game two , the TSN "experts" were saying that SJ bubble had burst.
Looks like reality has hit Cal and it ain't pretty.
The Flames are basically IGGY/Krippy and a bunch of guys who work hard .
Not the recipe for a Cup winner.
That said , I still expect this series to go 7.

If Simon looks at someone he gets a pen.
It is getting silly.
Damphousse scores on a pp (Rehger in the box).
4-1

Refs( and Bettman) must be happy.

Fight
Villemen(?) and Marshall.

Expect more tilts in the 3rd.
This game has been decided by the refs.

While I missed the early goings, I'd say it was decided in that 1-2 minute period when the score went from 1-0 to 3-1.

The refs weren't involved there at all.

That said, you're right on about reality hitting them where it hurts- the Sharks never seemed that flustered while they were down, but the Flames are showing frustration already. Not a good sign.

Zip.

Toast.

ESPN just made the point that Wilson can rest his main guys the rest of this game for tomorrow night, while the Flames have to play it out with their best on the ice. Advantage, Sharks.

San Jose is playing the game it wants to play, Calgary isn't.  That might be some hard momentum to overcome unless Calgary can turn it into an "ugly hockey" affair again.  They've got to get more action like Iginla banking one in off a Shark skate.  They're playing the game too far from Nabokov right now.

Should there be a law that hockey players need to shave during the playoffs ?
Way too many beards out there.
Refs are trying to even it up when the game is done by giving the Flames a 2 manner.
Doesn't matter and keeps the Flames agitators off the ice.
Simon scored.
4-2
Last few seconds left.

Well, they listened to you for the last :40 of the game, fjc. That was the longest :07.2 I've ever seen.

Not enough though. 4-2 final.

That's where Calgary might have a bit of an advantage tomorrow.  Good road teams play it simpler, less inclined to try to make the SportsCenter play.  Calgary just doesn't have any players for that outside of Iginla.

According to the CBC annoucers.
Simon and Thornton were sent off for using bad language !
What a joke !
I assume that each and every player(and coach)who uses bad language from now on in the playoffs will be sent off.

In the "whaadafa" category - they showed the game on the big screen at McMahon Stadium for those who didn't have tickets to the Saddledome.  We live right across the street from McMahon, and there's Flames fans honking horns, and hootin' and hollerin' as if they won the game.  I really don't get why.  Guess they're all just drunk.

If the Caps were this deep into the playoffs, I might be hootin' and hollerin', even if they were down 3-0.

Good grief, I fell asleep with the score 0-0 at the beginning of the second and woke up to the Marshall-Villeneu bruhaha with the score 4-1 Sharks. It looks like I missed one of the best periods in the playoffs.
