Bondra likely gone
Winger could get $1-million buyout, then sign with Rangers
By BRUCE GARRIOCH, Ottawa Sun
DON'T expect to see Peter Bondra back with the Senators. Sources say the Senators are not expected to pick up the $4.5-million (all terms US) option on Bondra's contract.
That means the winger would be allowed to test the NHL's unrestricted free-agent market.
The Senators are continuing negotiations in a bid to sign Bondra at a lower price, but it's speculated the New York Rangers are poised to make a pitch for him.
Acquired from the Washington Capitals prior to the NHL trade dealine last season, Bondra will receive a $1-million buyout from the Senators if his option is not picked up.

I'm surprised Larry didn't pick this one up first, but he's too busy speculating on Pavol Demitra, Craig Conroy, Brian Rolston, and Bob Boughner becoming Rangers.
