Mr Ricci will be wearing number 40 this season in honour of Pat Tillman.
He has the blessing of Tillman's family and much of the proceeds of the sales of the Ricci replica jerseys will go to the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Gives me a nice excuse to get a Coyotes Ricci jersey (as if I wasn't already thinking about it). 

There's a nice interview with him on the Coyotes home page...of course, I don't have time to check that many sites, but someone on Beckett posted the link.  You know that I get my hockey card fixes in, so I sometimes get my hockey news on the Beckett board.

Hey TAK, Fuggedaboudit, Renee's got a line on someone in NY state that may be hooking her up with the card addiction. We may be trading this person a Dan Blackburn WHL card, a couple of Marleau cards and a couple of Adam Graves cards for the Charpie and a few others.  We just have to get this person to actually buy the card with her next order...

...yeah, and I've been sending her "you MUST spend money on hockey caaaaaards" whammies all week too. 

The thing is, I asked her to pick up at least two of the five available because one of my big eBay competitors is friends with Charpy and is helping him assemble a player collection.  If the list from July is still accurate, Charpy needs that card too.  If I get one for me and one for him, that would rock.

Chris has seen Ricci on a fishing show in the past, before I moved to Calgary.  Wonder if it's the same show?

As for the hockey card whammies, they didn't work on Eileen, so I tempted Chris with a Fredrik Sjostrom Upper Deck Ice card for $36 (book value is $60).  He totally wanted that, so throwing in two 80 cent Charpy cards was nothin' at all....and I got Todd Harvey and Joe Sacco prismatic die cut autograph cards and a Todd Harvey short print card in there as well. 

When I first started dating Chris, I brought him up a box of his very own hockey cards...a bunch of Bondra, Bertuzzi, Iginla, etc.  I ain't stupid - I knew he was a keeper and I knew that someday I'd need to convince him of the dire need to place a Beckett Marketplace order.
