Nice attitude kid.  Can't wait until you come to America and get your ass kicked on the ice.

I was watching all of that last night. All I could think about is that's what the NHL needs. More prima donnas with attitudes. I was extremely disgusted. And what will he be like when he starts making the big bucks?

Wow, overreaction much?

Ovechkin didn't taunt team USA, he kissed the Russian emblem on his chest, and he showed the nameplate his jersey to the punk fans berating him behind the Russian bench.

The announcers were lauding him after his goal, remarking how great a player he was. It was Malkin skating by the American bench that set them off.

Try giving your own guys the benefit of the doubt?

I didn't see the game, just read the articles.  From what I read, he's needs an attitude adjustment.

I saw the game. Change the jersey and look at all what happened from the perspective if it was the US team doing it, and people would be saying "Go USA. Look how excited he is to score for his country. That empty net goal just sealed ther way into the Gold Medal game. See him standing up for his teamates from all the dirty high sticking by the Russian team."

I'm not saying everything that was done was kosher mind you, but it was far from what it is being made out to be.

ovechkin has a bondra-esque enthusiasm for the game. he scores goals and rejoices. i tivo'd the end of the game, and will watch it later. but i can't imagine what he did was punkish. that other russian fucker, the one what holds his hand to his ear when he scores a goal, he's a punk. ovechkin was probably just excited.

I didn't have any problem with Ovechkin's actions. Not gonna take it off anybody- good for him.

I think there's some "gamesmanship" going on, on both sides- the Russians, telling the Canadians "We beat the U.S. on their home ice, we can handle you when it's neutral", and the Canadians trying to get under the Russians' skin- read carefully the very first line of that same article:

For the third time in four years, Canada and Russia will be playing for gold at the World Junior Hockey Championship.
