"My main message right now is the game is more important than egos. The players need to give back what I think has gotten out of hand, in terms of salaries. Our game is great, our game is popular, but not popular enough to control $8-, $9- or $10-million salaries going out."


I guess it's easier for him, since he's already got HIS money, but I still agree. Hockey just isn't that popular of a sport in the US. It's my favorite, but I'm not the normal US citizen.

That's mighty big of JR . . . seeing as how he makes $7 million . . . guess that's tolerable in Roenick World.
