3-1 Pens at the first intermission. This time, it's the Caps that are not playing their best forwards, but Friesen is there for his second game, as expected (he didn't play too well yesterday, I believe), and Sykora for his first one (#20).
The Pens are playing what should be their opening night lineup.
The Caps are playing their second line minus one player (Sutherby replacing Cassels or Zubrus), what could be their third line (if Clark doesn't come back to replace Bradley), plus Peat. In the absence of Ovechkin, Cassels, Willsie, Halpern and Zubrus, it's time for Sykora to prove that he deserves a spot on one of the top two lines. Defense: the Caps are only playing two starters in my opinion: Eminger and Morrisonn, because as long as Majesky is out, I think the other pairings will be Witt-Green and Heward-Muir.
This game will give a lot of confidence to the Pens... they should be careful, though, because it won't be that easy against true NHL teams... even against us, because we'll have a better defense, and Olie.
Palffy, from Lemieux and Malone on the PP, with Morrisonn-Yonkman on the ice. Goal conceded in 1:55 this time.
