Up against the NFL, true, but the Redskins don't play until 8:30, so people like Old Chelsea can make both games (he was at the Caps, but I he was only drinking one-handed- probably saving some room for the football game later.
Looked like McCabe's stick was what sent that puck in, Marc, so it should be AO's goal. Klepis looks good again; good to see Fleishman get in early on the scoring; Pettinger's goal was sweet- he had a man open on the left (the goalie's right), did just a little shoulder fake as if to pass, and potted it easy.
On the goal- Willsie pointed immediately to Ovechkin, as if to say he never touched it- slo-mo replay showed McCabe redirecting it, but you can't tell if Willsie lays wood (or is it graphite) on it or not. He did indicate AO, so I'd expect a scoring change if they have his name on it.

I must have left on the Steen penalty at 9:37 of the 2nd. Over 63 hours of work last week, looking at the same this week, and have to take off Friday afternoon- for a hockey game, naturally!
They do look good tonight, Marc; they are starting to learn where the other guys are on the ice when they pass it. The first PP looked pathetic, but after that something seemed to click (5-4 Wellwood). Leafs seemed lethargic for the first 18:00, but kicked it up a notch to score those two quick goals.
Lots of Leaf fans in attendance tonight, and along with Family Night, made it a respectable crowd. Caps to the PP.
LOL, but not true- they know, where I sit, that I always try to leave at a positive point for the team, so a goal and 2 PPs later, it was time to go (and, if I hit the Metro right, I make it home in time to see most if not all of the 3rd).
NHL stats still has Willsie with that last goal, but JB and Laughlin keep mentioning they expect it to be changed to Ovechkin. 4:00 left..... with the Caps on the PK.
Right before the draw, Witt reaches over and smacks Lindros' stick out of his hands- no call.....
Kolzig covers at :02.6.... game over, and Chris Clark and Tucker come to blows! Still going at it! Tucker wins the early round, Clark late.... getting ready for Tuesday, I guess.
Good game by the entire team tonight. Eminger is starting to look like a veteran the vast majority of every game; Klepis looked good again, Witt blocked some shots, had 5 hits and an assist, several guys got the recent "ofer" monkey off their PP backs, and the team got a well deserved win.
"It's a pretty unhappy outcome, and pretty dissatisfying," coach Pat Quinn said. "The fact is, we didn't work hard enough tonight to get any kind of result. ... When you don't execute, you pay a price, and we did."
"I'm not sure if it was us that had that bad of a game, but we were on our heels the whole game," Sundin said. "They were the better team, there's no doubt about it."
They played the previous night, had to travel, then started a game two hours early. Not that I'm ever going to cry for Maple Leafs, but I suspect it did play a role in the Leafs predominantly lethargic performance.
WOO HOO!!!! LET'S GO CAPS!!!
