Although I would have liked to see what the two Alexes could have done on the Caps, I also think that we won't see Semin on this team again. I don't know what his deal is, maybe it's true that he can't leave due to military service. Or, maybe the "service" is spelled M.A.F.I.A. Who knows? It looks like his and his stupid agent's moves really screwed up relations with the Caps.
As far as packaging Semin and Sykora, there would probably be some teams that would be interested in Semin. However, the Caps would have to shell out money for someone to take Sykora. What a wimp -- he reaches the pinnacle of hockey and it's all over in three months. "His heart wasn't in it," "He didn't know English," "He was lonely" blah, blah, blah -- give me a break. He's not a little kid, for crying out loud. Look at what Ove has done. Another Czech bust for the Caps.
