The second "goal" was really a pass, going wide, that went off Majesky's foot into the goal.

Crosby's goal, he split Witt and Eminger, neither could quite get to it- nice move by the kid.

Pirjeta's goal, well............................. that one's on Olie, from that far out.

Haven't noticed him much, which is not a good sign. Word from JB is the Caps made a little adjustment to get the forecheck going, by taking away the wall- and it seems to be working. maybe we'll see a little more work from that Sutherby line the rest of the game.

Pens kill a long 5 on 3, probably killing the game for the Caps tonight.

Yes- Sens jumped up, Canes bit back, and the Sens went back on top. So far, I wish I were watching that one.

I'll let you guess who has scored the Rangers goal.

TAK, you'll be pleased to know the Caps are winning the great "hit" battle tonight, 6-5 after 40:00. They may get up to 9 for the game!

Bettman will probably give them a call afterwards, to tone down the violence....

A team that goes down 4-0 in the first doesn't deserve to win.
At least they did not throw in the towel.

Penguins win 5-4.

Random stuff...

Shot total for the Caps hits the 40s.

Willsie was getting some good shots on; I'm surprised that he wasn't on the ice after the timeout.

Kolzig should've had the Orpik goal.

I'm not sure why Ben Clymer got called for holding that led to the Pens' first goal. He had both hands on his own stick and was trying to backcheck. That's definitely not holding.

I've seen the stats and the highlights, and I must say that I'm proud of our guys. We were really close to come back and win that game. There's one of the two goals that Ovechkin thought he had scored in the highlights. Wow! We definitely have the best one of the two kids. He doesn't have anyone around him, that's all, while Crapsby has Palffy, Lemieux, Recchi, Gonchar. Ovechkin would have 50 points so far with them. He would also be -40 with their defense.

Caron made some good stops, apparently. Olie gave up a weak goal (Pirjeta). Jackman's goal, scored by Majesky's skates, was pure lack of luck. We should have won that game. Next time, we'll destroy them.

Crosby said he was lucky on his pass. The difference between Crosby and Ovechkin when they say that they got lucky... is that Ovechkin is always kidding.
