12th goal for Tucker. He has 6 goals in his last 7 games (he missed 2 games in the middle of that for personal reasons). He's headed for a career year in goals, of course.

Sexy Jose T and sexy Sheldon S are playing for the Habs.
Sexy Lucky Luc (he may not be sexy but his wife IS)is in the Kings lineup.
still 0-0 with about 2 mins left .
The Caps scored again while I was restarting my PC. Zubrus (off his butt, I guess) from Ovechkin and Bryan "the shooting machine" Muir. 2-0 Caps, first intermission.

Great save by Kolzig on a backhand shot by Nylander to keep us three goals ahead! That could be the turning point of the game. Big goal, then big save. Good.
Smith just scored a beauty of a sh goal.

Hi Ms Misto
DSC showed a tasty fight with Shanahan.
Shanny poured some water over his face(while he was in the box after the tilt) and there quite a lot blood flowing.
Gotta love Shanny.
I consider NYR to be on the same level as Mon.
Their winning surprises me , but when they start to lose on a regular basis ............I will not be surprised.
The caps are a better team than the Rangers.
Mink only had three short shifts in the second period, and one of them was only because he was leaving the penalty box. It's probably due to the fact that Cassels spent some time on the PP in that period.
The Caps scored again while I was restarting my PC. Zubrus (off his butt, I guess) from Ovechkin and Bryan "the shooting machine" Muir.
Not at all! It was really sweet 3 man individual plays- Muir with the breakout to Ovechkin coming up the right wing (I could have sworn he's a left wing), AO put it right on Zubie's skate as he came in to the goalie's left, and Zubrus got control of it, did a 270 degree spin, and fired it right past the guy!
Ovechkin's first goal was a thing of beauty, too- he finessed the Dman just to the goalie's right, took the puck away, and fired as he came in skating on his right foot only- I heard at least two people, in the bar, say "gee- I didn't expect him to shoot that!"- well, neither did Lundqvist.
Two great goals, and I was up and out at the end of the 1st. I did see Zep and Jazzy, and Eagle and her husband (for the first time this season) as well.
Also, I'm a TV star- as I entered the Dewars' Lounge, several people hollered at me, things like "Rock Star!!!"..... when I asked what was going on, they told me I was on TV for 10-15 seconds at the Florida game- thank God I wasn't picking my nose, or scratching my ass on camera.........
What's the attendance like in DC tonight ? I am hoping that they have a decent/large crowd.
I'd guesstimate anywhere from 11-13 thou- lots of Rangers' fans (Pettinger), lots of families- the Eagle's Nest looked pretty full, most of the sections looked half or more, and I can't see the lower bowl below me, behind the benches. Good crowd, good fans, gave the Ranger fans right back when they cheered, booed Jagr every time he touched the puck, and generally were in fine fettle (I like that word, fettle).
edit: Double use of the word "fettle" (this makes three!) in one post deserves a beer.....

I think the home team crowd should always BOO the other stars.
5-0 ?
Sather must be in a tizzy .
I think the Rangers winning record has been built with smoke and mirrors.
They are going to Crash !
caps are the better team .
AO took a shot off his ankle, blocking a shot, and limped off the ice. He seems to be ok, though (still on the bench), and we'll see if he comes back for his regular shift.
4 points, and a bruise to prove it...... nice night, big guy.
My brother(or at least a guy with the same name) played Drums on many Steely Dan songs .
Then again............BOBBY ORR played the skins on many Donovan songs.
why I mention this ?
I do not know why .
Zep and I were discussing Eminger before the game, agreeing he's the best thing on this team after Ovechkin.
Now that I've had a chance to watch Mink on TV for a few shifts, I like what he's added to the team tonight. They seem to have a lot more "jump" in their game; he did make a couple pure rookie moves in the 1st period, such as charging and not getting called for it, but he seems to have settled into the flow of the Caps' play and is doing well, in my eyes.
Bryan Trottier was in on the Hotstove HNIC thingy and he said that misses the battles in front of the net .
Now Antropov(sp?) gets a pen for battling in front of the net.
Gotta love it .
SJ on the pp.
And at the end, instead of taking congrats from his teammates, there's Ovechkin, tapping each guy on the helmet, giving them a nod or an encouraging word (Pettinger got a hard- but manly, I swear it was done in a manly fashion- slap on the ass as he left the ice).
Ex Cappy Allison just scored.
Goal under review.
if they don't count it...........they why bother with the reviews?
The puck was clearly over the line.
Post-game, Zubie gives credit to the Sutherby line, Morrisonn, and Majesky for shutting down the Rangers' big guns tonight.... AO felt some frustration, but he handled it well (the mini-slump).... AO opened room for him, don't want to compare to when Jagr was here.
JB says the Jagr hit sequence was out of frustration at the job the Caps' D did on him- I'd have to agree.
CL said the Majesky we saw tonight "was the guy I thought we were getting when we got him from Atlanta"- I'd have to agree, again. Zep and I discussed Majesky as well, pre-game, and I mentioned that it might take him 20 or so games to fully recover from his injury. He did ok against Florida, according to CL, and tonight proved that we got a real NHL Dman (according to me).
Hanlon talking about the D now.... Morrisonn's stick work against Jags.... Eminger 3rd leading scorer, so we let him jump in a little on O.... talking about Ovechkin's assists "that's what he's been reading about... ask him to be responsible defensively, the rest of his game is up to him.... on Olie: different team now, than at the start of the season (referred to the blowout scores early).... tonight the specialty teams worked as opposed to earlier in the season.... (yeah, like the last 3 games, Glen....).
