Caps: same players, and probably same lineup, except for Kolzig in goal.

In goal for the Canadians: team France's goalie, Cristobal Huet, back from injury since late November, but he had to wait until December 17 to play his first game for the Canadians. An OT loss and an OT win so far. It's his third consecutive start. Theodore is on the bench, but he has a knee injury.
Zednik hurt in the face.

Great save by Huet in front of Ovechkin. AO almost beat him earlier, but Souray saved the goal.

Shot by Clark deflected by Souray, then big fight! (Souray and Clark had already fought in the first period.) Three penalties: Zednik, Begin and Morrisonn, with Sutherby still in the box for 32 seconds.
End of second. The French Canadian announcers saying that the Caps ruin the good things that they do with all those "immature penalties"... They're almost sorry for us, LOL!

Immature penalties is right- got to stay out of the box tonight, if they expect to win.
The Caps have dominated the game, so far, and it would be really bad to give up a goal now.
Particularly 1:56 of 5 on 3, with nothing to show for it.....

Some news:
"Atlanta Thrashers' forward Ilya Kovalchuk has been suspended for one game, without pay, for an incident in which he threw his stick into the stands during NHL Game #506 against Washington Capitals on Dec. 22.
And from the recap:
"Kovalchuk drew a 10-minute misconduct penalty 2:02 into the third penalty. The penalty came after Kovalchuk threw his stick handle over the glass after breaking his stick on a shot attempt.
'I broke my stick and threw it away,' he said. 'I didn't do it on purpose '."
LOL! The stick just took off from my hand and went into the crowd.

They said that, on Zubrus goal, Huet made the mistake to try to hook Zubrus' stick, instead of keeping his own stick between his skates.

I must admit, I didn't think he was having that good a game tonight- his first shift of the game was terrible, and it hasn't gotten much better in my eyes. He seems to be pressing, instead of just playing hockey.

20th goal for Ovechkin. I'm not sure any other Cap will have 20 goals this season, except maybe Pettinger, who's on pace for 20-22 goals (22 if one applies his goal-per-game average to the 49 remaining games).
