First :49 all in the Panther zone, good pressure, but no goal.

Killed, but the Caps had 6 SOGs on the PP, and 10 SOGs in the first 3:30 of the game. Just after the penalty expires, another rush to McLennan's goal, and the Caps go on another PP.

Not really sure if it's correct- NHL.com had the Caps with 4 SOGs in the 1st and 6 in the 2nd already..... but they are putting it on net tonight.

Meanwhile, Crosby with no points in the 1st period of the Pens' game tonight; Thornton with another 1-2-3 game this afternoon, to take the scoring lead 125-122 over Jagr; and Cheechoo with a hat trick to take the goal scoring lead, 56-54 (also over Jagr).

I just heard JB and CL saying you have to go back 14 years in Caps history to see this many guys (2- Ovechkin and Zubrus) with a dozen (or more) PP goals- one would have thought with Bondra and Gonchar, that wouldn't be the case.

If the Caps beat the Thrashers Monday, Montreal and Tampa are instantly qualified for the playoffs, if I'm not mistaken. Millions of fans will be cheering for them, LOL!
