I hadn't really thought of it that way- you're right. Once you go down 2-0, it's really tough to come back at all.

No. He'll be 30 in December (I cheated and looked it up), and he doesn't score a whole lot. The Caps need to let their kids play, and I think he'd take a space from one of them.
Not saying he's a bad choice, just wouldn't be mine.

The exact words I was thinking- tough guy. The Caps don't need tough guys to play, they need guys who play tough. There is a difference. Like you said about the attitude of a series, the Caps need that lunch-pail, bring-it-every-shift attitude back if they are ever going to get a sniff of the Cup.

I like the way the Caps are shaping up but I hope that they do not go "fancy" in the upcoming draft .
They need a Staal or a player who plays like him .
