2-1 Caps end of the 1st; I told my seatmates I'd stay for 2 more goals- 3:28 in the 2nd, I was gone as TB took a 3-2 lead. 4-2 by the time I got home, but the boys didn't give up, and scored a couple of late goals, while Olie allowed (in my eyes) a softish TB goal on a breakaway very late.

They didn't give up, they didn't give in, and that's all I'm looking for this season, win or lose.

Ovechkin was creditted early on with the Caps' first goal, but I said to my seatmates that it was Semin all the way- NHL backs me up, now. Some nice moves, some good work, and some mistakes- I was surprised not to see Muir back in the lineup tonight (although Green was back), and I still can't get behind Clymer on defense- not saying he isn't a hard working guy, just that I don't see many good results from his defensive play.

First division loss for the Caps this season. 2-1-2.
