Clark shoots.... Niitimaki (sp?) blocks it, but it goes to his right, a wide open net if Ovechkin can get to the puck...... he does, does almost a 360 spin since the puck was headed deep for the goal line, and nets it clean!
1-0 Caps!
edit: the puck was OVER the goal line when Ovechkin got to it.... what a move!

Not a lot of excitement, this period, but the Caps go in the room with a 1-0 lead (although a late penalty puts them shorthanded again, with 1:48.7 to start the 2nd for the Flyers). For the second game in a row, I feel like I'm watching the Devils play....

Ovie in the box this time..... Johnson's played a great game to this point. He's come up big when he had to. Flyers just spent :56 in the O zone, but Caps finally got a stoppage to change the defenders.
