Leafs are already on their 4th pp(including a 40 sec Betty)
Nucks have had one pp
they scored
1-0 Ohlund

I'll change your thread title in a while- we might as well just make this the Caps' game thread as well.

Olie Jokinen is red hot for the Panthers (and he's not an All Star).

Alex Semin is red hot for the Caps (and he's not an All Star).

Lots to prove from both these teams.

Here's our Caps, playing a team playing their third game in four nights......

Nycholat error, Boumeester(sp) breakaway.....

1-0, Panthers.

Caps get a PP off the faceoff for a goalie interference (they almost scored again).

Lots of back and forth, now, but not really good action. Guys (on both teams) are trying to throw the big hits but getting glass instead; I've seen 6-10 bodies in the neutral zone at one time several times already.

Florida gets a PP with less than 1:00 left in the 1st.

2-0 Florida, end 1st. They'll have 1:09 of PP to start the 2nd.

No sense looking up the stats for the period- good for the Panthers, terrible for the Caps. Without several fine stops by Kolzig, this could have been 4-0 easily.

fjc says on official:  Washington is 5-15-4 when giving up the first goal, 2-12-3 when trailing after one period.

Crowd looks ok, but can't see up in the stands- not sure how many are there. And you can hear the players on the ice quite well.....

Right after Ovechkin gets stoned on a 2 footer by Belfour, the puck gets over to Semin on the open side of the net!

And I have NEVER been so embarrassed in in my life.

Even though they sold all tixs at 50% off the place was empty. This town doesn't deserve a hockey team. The Cats are winning and the place is empty.

There were more Pen fans at the game on Wednesday than Panther fans.

2 Hattys in 2 games for me and both the wrong team
