| Left the game at 3-0 Caps, realizing I was still watching a 2-man team (the Alexs). Got home in time to see 3-2, and an ineffective PP.

Kolzig under fire 2:45 gone 3rd, but he holds up..... the Caps get a delayed PP, Kolzig leaves the net, Ovie controls, dekes two guys, and fires a pass to the open side of the net- Beech!!!! A rare 6 on 5 goal for the good guys.

Ovechkin working on the longest current scoring streak (11 games) in the NHL. He's got 1-1-2 tonight- that was sweet pass to Beech for an easy goal.

Another Canes' PP, and Kolzig under fire again. So far, he's up to the task.....
killed, Semin with a semi-breakaway, and draws the foul- gonna be a Caps' PP when they come back from TV timeout, with 9:08? left in regulation.

Canes with a PP and ..... Caps get a steal, a 2 on 1 give and go with Gordon and Laich, and Laich fires in a SH rebound!!!!! Goal is under review.....
