well...my sentiments exactly.

Since Ovechkin and Semin are both in a slump, I believe we could change the lines, at least for a try.

The Pettinger-Gordon-Bradley line is OK, and did shut out Crosby's line at even strength. Zednik works hard and deserves to play on one of the top two lines. I'd try:

Brashear Sutherby Fehr

And we still need a true second-line center. Backstrom could be there next season, but if we want to make the playoffs this year (even a first-round loss would be a good experience for our young players), let's trade for a center now!

Quick news from Niklas Bäckström (Brynäs IF): leads his team in points with 11-27-38 in 41 games (the two players tied for second have 27 points in 44 and 50 games). He's only 21st in the league, but he's missed games (ex-Flyer Pavel Brendl leads the league in goals and points with 34-22-56 in 49 games). He's 10th in assists, though (all the players with more assists have played more games). He's now 6'1, apparently (1.85 m).
