Morrisonn get an elbow in the face from Perezhogin, the ref didn't see it..... Shamo bleeding profusely from the nose, and the refs confer at the bench, and Perezhogin takes a spot in the Habs' sinbin. 4:00 minor, and it will put the Caps on the PP for 3:37, except for a holding call right as the PP started. 4 on 4 again, for 2:00.

And a holding call on Pothier immediately puts the Habs on a long 4 on 3.

I see that the GM's want the instigator rule to change

Heward's first goal tonight was the first by a Caps' defenseman in 13 games.

Morrisonn missed the last 7:00 of the 1st period, but he's been back and skating (and taking penalties) in the 2nd.

Stat they just showed on CSN- no Montreal defenseman has ever led the team outright in points (one did tie for the lead, back in 1922).... at the moment, Souray leads the team with 50 points.

Caps get a PP late in the 2nd, 4:00 of PP time.....

And :27 later, a goal.....

unfortunately, it's a Montreal goal.....

Nucks are going to start Saboriun(sp?) instead of luongo tonight.
Not going over good with many of the Nucks faithful.

My opinion...........looks like the Nucks expect to lose so they now have an excuse for losing .

3rd has been ok, but no more goals from either team.

Ovechkin missed about 3:00 when he had to go in and get his skates resharpened- remember several games back when I mentioned about the new equipment manager and his lack of experience compared to the last one? It's starting to show up on the ice, I guess.

a good equipment manager is worth his weight in gold .

Koivu- Pettinger both go for roughing, and continue to "ask about the family" to each other in the box..... 5:30 left in regulation.

Pressuring? Last posting on NHL, they have 4 SOGs in the 3rd.

I can tell ya why the Ducks have not been winning like they did earlier in the season.
Early in the season they finished their checks
tonight....................11 mins into it and I have yet to see a bodycheck .

Heward's first goal has been attributed to Sutherby, who redirected the puck in front of Halak. Two great slap shots by Heward, though.

The three power play goals that we gave up in the first were really ugly (the Caps were really passive on those). Ryder's second goal (the SH GWG mentioned by Roger) and Semin's goal are beauties, though.

Once again, we dug ourselves a hole in the first period, and the game was over.
