Mike Richard, who played seven games with the Washington Capitals in 1987-88 and 1989-90, retired two weeks ago.

He was a good OHLer, then AHLer (44-63-107 in 1988-89), but he spent most of his career in Switzerland, where he was forced to retire at the age of 40 because of a shoulder injury.
