I'm just using the Caps' podcast radio (the second radio link I put in last night's thread. I know the video is intoxicating, but I don't want to convince myself on preseason games. I can't get CenterIce TV anyway, as I don't have broadband.
Whatever. Strange game tonight, from the looks of those lineups.
edit: speaking of the lineups, blatantly stolen from the game thread on official, the Caps courtesy of buttercup, and the Flyers' courtesy of AllStarMe.
Flyers score.
2nd edit: I kant spel.

Bradley? You may be right. That secondary assist is not meaningless, at least, because he had to fight along the boards to give the puck back to Eminger.

Radio said Bradley, I don't know for sure- NHL STILL doesn't have the stats going for the 7:00 games, and at least one of the 7:30 games is snafued as well.
You'd think with Leonsis' knowledge of the internet and computers, and NHL's desire to draw fans, they wouldn't have these very basic problems. The problem with the games that haven't "started" is, if you go into the Event Summary page, one of the columns is highlighted- almost looks like a frozen Excel spreadsheet. Same problem for all three games that haven't "started" yet.
And EVERYONE hates these new scoresheets- too hard to read, can't find the stats you're looking for easily (like SOGs in a specific period)... basic stuff. Way to go, Gary.
Yes, it's really hard to read these new scoresheets. They might get back to the old ones when season starts. It's preseason for them too. They're trying things.

By the way- radio also said Fleishmann was benched for the last half of the 3rd last night, as Hanlon wasn't happy with his play (other than his scoring). I've been surprised this year, as everyone seems to be touting Fleishmann as the RW for Ovechkin- I just can't see it. The guy just isn't 1st or 2nd line material in my eyes.
Clark is our best RW, and if he doesn't play on the top line, he won't have 30 goals again, and no one else will score them.
Ovechkin-Kozlov-Clark should be a good line. And Semin deserves a good passer like Nylander. We always say that Ovechkin doesn't get any help, but it's worse for Semin, so let's give him Nylander.
I'm glad to see, by the way, that the young players take this game seriously. They're skating fast and playing well, with some determination.

Caps were 6-on-4 for about 50 seconds with Johnson pulled, but Boumedienne made a bad pass that allowed a Flyer to clear the puck, and Caps were not able to come back in position.
Flyers win.
I think that Motzko had a good game. He could stay a little longer.
LOL! I might have to wait until Christmas. Could be my Christmas present to myself. But with three children... they come first. I'll probably be broke.
