I'm watching. They fixed the problem with Center Ice Online. All countries can see the games, now, and it should be the same for the whole season.

I thought it was at 9:00 pm my time, and, well, it started one hour ago, so we're at the beginning of the second period, and it's 1-0 Islanders. Goal par Park 6:30 into the game.

KOZLOV FIRES ONE IN!!! 1-1.

It's Kozlov's second goal of the season. Nice pass by Ovechkin. They already look like old linemates. Their goal against Carolina was awesome.

Two Caps in the box: 5-on-3 PP for 1:35.

Both penalties killed.

Poti passes the puck to an Islander soon after, but we don't pay for that.

Kozlov: 5 out of 6 at faceoff, so far. Much better than in preseason games.

Clark took a bad penalty. He got slashed by Comrie, the refs didn't see it, then he retaliated by pushing Comrie down in a bad defensive play, and he got called, of course. (EDIT: actually, HE slashed Comrie, then pushed him down, I believe, which doesn't make his case better.)

Penalty killed.

End of second, but a skirmish starts involving Gervais, Erskine and Clark. The Isles could start the third period on the PP.

Shots are 25-9 Islanders. Caps only had 3 shots in the 2nd period, and I believe that Kozlov's goal was scored with the Caps' first shot on goal in 11 minutes. But 20 other shots by the Caps were either blocked or missed, so they're trying more than it sounds.

Caps were the ones on the PP at the beginning of the third period, actually. And soon after a 5-on-3 PP, but really average PP work by the Caps, and the Islanders even had a SH opportunity, but Poti made a very good defensive play on that one.

A great and fast offensive play by the PGC line, but no goal, then a chance for the Isles, and the PGC line quickly back in action.

LAICH SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOORES!!!!

Awesome play by Nylander.

2-1 Caps.

(Bad pass by an Islander, Nylander steals the puck, makes some beautiful moves, then passes back to Pothier, who fires one on DiPietro; Laich, who was crashing the net, steals the puck, skates to his left to escape from DiPietro, and sends the puck into the net.)

Gordon almost scored a wraparound goal. Caps on the PP, instead.

Clark with an open net but he doesn't shoot (perhaps he was too far from the puck, hard to say, the resolution is not that good today). Then he loses a puck and the Isles have a SH breakaway, but offside (how stupid from their part).

Awesome last minute.

Now, Caps on the PP with 3.9 seconds remaining.

Nylander kicked out of the faceoff circle. Kozlov takes it, loses it, but the Islanders were in their end and could not do anything with this puck, of course.

Caps win. WOW. We may be first in the Eastern Conference with this game, LOL! The other teams will start looking at us differently.

The Caps didn't really dominate. The Islanders were not good. But still, it's a great win for this team. They really look confident on the ice.

I got radio at work just before Kozlov scored, so I heard all the good stuff!

I think Leonsis should pay me to NOT buy tickets.....

The Caps are second in the league with 6 points, and lead their division. The Sens also won and have 8 points in 4 games. I know that many teams have only played 2 games, but still, it's good to be there. Hopefully, we won't leave the top half of the standings all season. The talent is there, and the spirit is different:

"We're going into games expecting to win, where last year we'd go into games saying, 'Let's work hard and see what happens,"' Kolzig said. "It's a totally different mind-set. We've put pressure on ourselves, but it's pressure that's in a good way."
