Saw the second period. Ovie's trying way too hard by himself and the PP looks completely out of sync. Glad to see Backstrom and Semin get a little feisty after Franzen and Lilja were sent to the box.

7:00 left 3rd, very even game, been very entertaining.

McPhee in an interview with Chris Simpson said "this is the way we thought we'd play all season".... if so, he's got a job next year. Still not enough to get me back in the arena, but at the least, they are competing now, and it's not just once in a while, it's almost every game.

Still, competing doesn't always win, and they still lack a little in the grit department, and they need a couple more scoring forwards and some D to move into the playoff picture (jimo).

With 4:43 left in regulation, the Wings take the lead- play by Datsyuk, and Holmstrom gets the goal. I thought it was weak on Olie's part, but haven't seen a clear replay yet.

2:54 left, the Caps get the PP when Datsyuk puts the biscuit off the ice....
