Thaks much, nice to see you, if only for a few.

Eric Fehr in the lineup tonight, on a line with Ovechkin and Backstrom. First 6:00 has been boring.

misto says "hi!".

Albert and Freddy? I have tapes of both, never seen any live or video of them (although one of them may have played Newport 63 Folk Festival).

Zed's dead, baby. Zed's dead (little Pulp Fiction reference for you).

Kings just scored against the rangers.

My all-time nightmare game: Columbus at New Jersey (or New Jersey at Columbus).

Nash intercepts a pass, breaks away clean, and it's 1-0 Columbus....

unbelieveably bad play by the Caps.

And now it's 2-0 quickly.....

:50 left in the 1st, Columbus goes on the PP.... :20 left, they get a 2MA of their own.

2-0 Jackets, end 1st, with lots of 2MA to come to start the 2nd.

Brashear to the box.

Penalty killed.

Atlanta led 2-1 by Philadelphia, mid-game. Kovalchuk scored his 39th goal.

Florida leading 1-0 in Toronto at the first intermission, thanks to Zednik's 11th of the season.

Carolina 0 - Nashville 0, 7 minutes into the game.

Tampa is going to play in a few minutes.

Lengthy review in Columbus to see if Backstrom has scored one or not.

No goal. Still 2-0 BJ.

I remember that Johnson often gave up two early goals, then was a wall for the rest of the game. I hope he does it again, and our kids score a couple more.

Re: Caps/Blue Jackets

See, that's the kind of "assist" that should never be- Backstrom passed the puck to Ovechkin in front of Johnson, and Ovechkin basically took it the length of the ice himself and scored.... I guess it counts, but it shouldn't.

Well they get to try against the backup- Laing runs over LeClaire, and LeClaire is out of the game injured.

Killed.

Sounds like our own PPs are more dangerous for us. Even 5-on-3.

Assists to Kozlov and Fleischmann, actually.

Goal was on first shot against Norrena, who replaced Leclaire. This is a totally different game, now. The Caps are in a good position to win it. Thank you, Laing? Hehe.

Re: Caps/Blue Jackets

February 5 2008, 8:47 PM

Norenna:

ASSETS: Owns a plethora of top-shelf experience in big games. Good lateral movement - able to move quickly from one side of the net to the other.

FLAWS: Tends to go down a little early. Is too aggressive to become a legitimate No.1 in the NHL.

CAREER POTENTIAL: No. 2 goaltender.

Had a good season last year (24-25-3, 2.78, 90.4%).

Still at 90% this season in 23 games, 2.64 GAA.

Bad to give up a goal on the first shot you face, though. Especially an important one.

Just before the goal, Morrisonn destroyed the ref as he was back pedalling, it seems.

Caps on the PP, but- the last 9 games, they are 1 for 15.... and this one doesn't look any better.

Reports are now LeClaire has a neck injury, not too serious. I was going to say when it happened, I thought his head cracked back into the left post behind him, but it happened really fast, and I didn't watch the replays.

Atlanta tied the game 2-2 against Philadelphia. Less than 10 minutes left.

Florida added 2 goals and now leads 4-0 in Toronto, end second.

Still 0-0 for Carolina in Nashville.

Character building game- give up a 3 on 5 goal, another quick one to be down 2-0, an assist from the ref for another goal against, and they walk away winners.....

a game to remember, if they make the playoffs.

Never give up.

Never.

Way to come back. Give Ovie his Hart Trophy. His individual performance is the primary attribute of the team's success; that's what MVP truly means.

Indeed. And again, that was the only drawback to the outcome- it was all Ovechkin, all game. Yeah, Poti finally scored, and a couple guys got assists, but no one won that game for them but Alex.... first goal after disaster, last and game-winning goal afdter more disaster. God forbid anything ever happens to the guy, or this team is toast (as if they aren't toast with him anyway).
