Immediately the puck drops, the gloves come off- it's Chara and Brashear.... they strategically dance and pose.... Brashear makes a grab for jersey, Chara gets one weak rabbit punch in, and it's Brashear with the head-butt take down.... cheap draw.
5:30 left in the 1st, the Caps go on the PP again. Many won't give credit, but Brashear getting Chara off the ice for 5:00 was HUGE.... he should get a star tonight, if he doesn't skate another second.
I was just about to say, the Caps getting "fancy" again on the PP, lots of passes but no shots, when..... SEMIN GREAT FEED TO A STREAKING ALEX OVECHKIN!!!!! HAT TRICK!!!!!

Versus playing up the fact Ovechkin is the "fastest to 50" in the last 10 seasons.... I'll always regret McPhee and company not helping him to the mark last season, since he could have been the first player EVER- that's EVER- to have 50 in his first 2 seasons (and now it would be his first 3).
Right at the end of the Caps' PP, Green CRUSHES Chara and gets called for boarding (good call, but a really hard hit by Green- at official, they say the radio says "a good penalty, sends a message" )... Bruins' PP....

And killed. Fedorov gets crushed, and is being attended to on the bench... the Bruins change, Ovechkin circles with the puck in front of Huet.... AND FIRES A 2-LINE PASS TO A STREAKING BACKSTROM WHO'S IN ALL ALONE....
