It pays off- Exelby loses his stick, and Green makes they pay- 4-3. Still 2:00 of PP to come.....

Semin with 1-2-3 on the night looks like he's picking up right where he left off last season in the playoffs.

He's better (much better) than Ovechkin, tonight. Stickwork, drawing penalties, scoring- he's playing like the player we thought he might be 2-3 years ago.

Caps on the PP, get a penalty shot when the Dman covers the puck in the crease.... Ovechkin takes it..... not even close.

Not a good start for the Caps. I thought Semin should have taken the penalty shot, and the game deteriorated from there. Lehtonen let in 4, but he stopped 39 others.
