Both goals were PP goals. One with Ovechkin on the ice, the other one with Semin. I guess we're trying too hard to score SH goals, there. Maybe once in a while, but not systematically. We already need these guys a lot at even strength and on the power play, so they should be able to rest a little.

CL just pointed out the Caps only got 4 SOGs on a guy with a .930+ save percentage.... not gonna happen at that rate.

That's not gonna happen at that rate, like you said. At that rate, it will be 10-0.

The penalty was Erskine putting the puck over the glass, but the replay shows Satan got a piece of it, so it was a very close, very questionable call.

That said, that's no excuse- they just weren't ready to play this game tonight, and it's showing in every facet of the game.

Caps get a PP, and the Pens clear it easily 3 times in the first 1:00..... cleared again at :35.... again at :22.... cleared from the neutral zone at :10, and killed easily.

Fleischmann fires one in, though, and it's 3-1. Suddenly, it's less that bad.

According to Kolbe, just when it looked like the Pens had the Caps down, Semin scores, and it's 3-2!

Bradley is back on the bench, and his nose is ok- it's his upper lip, left side, that's got a ton of stitches in it.

Sounds like Fleischmann (who got an assist on the last goal) is much better than last year.

Would be better if they didn't give up too many goals in the first period, though.

Semin is 4-4-8 in 4 games. Could be this year's best scorer in the league.
