Killed again with some good work..... much different game than the CRC saw in December up there.
JB says Feds took the warmup, but decided he couldn't go tonight, putting Giroux in the lineup.... Green does not have a point against the Flyers this season.....
Caps to the PP with 4:39 left 1st, after the ubiquitous TV timeout.
2:58 left, the Flyers get a third PP as Giroux takes his second minor of the game, this time a semi-cheap head shot to the back of Hartnell's head along the boards, well after the puck was gone.
Biron covers the SH chance with :01 left in the PP, I'd venture to say this one's killed again.....
we're under 1:00 in the period.... :34.2, Caps are offside....
Comcast game note- Carcillo is trying (? ) to be the first player since Dave Schultz to "win" the PIM'S title his first two seasons - he won it last year with the 'Yotes, and is in the lead this year with the Flyers.....
wow- great pass from Richards, to Knuble on the open side....
"this looks like a different team than the one we saw in the losing streak"
Yes, I think they went through two lazy periods this season. It's understandable. I hope it was not due to too much confidence, but simply a lack of efforts. Playoffs are getting close, now, and they better go back into winning mode. Starting against the hard-hitting Flyers would be a good thing, and since they scored the huge goal...
Green still scoreless against them, and Ovechkin still as effective.
And now, Flyers score, big horn, but it's waived off immediately too. And this time, Knuble will go to the box for interference. People are booing, of course.
Caps' PP starts well, until the Flyers get a short-handed breakaway, but Ovechkin comes back to hit Gagne off the puck legally. Maybe he heard about that video and people saying he's not a team player.
Knuble out of the box, killed.

3rd on, the Caps have a goal washed out, the Flyers come back and score but THAT is washed out.... less than 11:00 left in reg with the Caps still up 2-1..... great hockey.

Theodore with a huge save on a shot by Asham to preserve the Caps' lead, while I'm editing the banner to add his face (picture will be up in a couple of minutes).
