Indeed they did. Congrats to the team, organization and fans.

They beat the Flyers in Philly, the Caps in D.C., the 'Canes in Raleigh, and finished it off beating the Red Wings in Detroit. Quite a run. Congrats, too, to Evgeny Malkin- who would be Ovie if the Caps had passed back in 2004.

Two trophies Ovechkin is probably never going to hold in his hands as his own.

Would the Caps someday do as well.... they have much work to do, and very, very far to go.

i doff my hat in both teams direction .

I hvae already seen some pundits suggesting these two teams will meet again next season for the Mug .
I don't see it happening and I will go out on a limb and say that the Pens will barely make the playoffs next year.Now that they won they will have to overpay for their Rfas/Ufas and I just do not have a good jibe about them.
Det glory days have now past them .
