| I respect somare for the challage he took on. given the time of his initiation as PM and progress of this nation from stone age to digital age, it is a great leap forward.
I however must disagree partiallyy with what you said "....we should avoid attacking personalities of the leaders but attack issues we feel will demise... "
I agree on attacking issues but diagree on the former.
The personality of a leader are reflected inthe type of leadership they are showing. What we want for our country such things as accountability, transparent leaders, honest and trust worthy, hard working are all things that should be in person prior to them running for seat to get into parliment. When leaders are of good character then refusing to do the wrong thing would come naturally to them they will be able to make wise decsions.
When leaders choose to lead in a democracy practising society, then they choose to open up to their electors their character and personality qualifications for scrutinizing. people need to know the kind of person they are choosing to represent, lead and let decide on their future.
I do agree that we have to attack the issues but we must have leaders with good personalities to help and lead us in doing so.
maybe i am getting confused with personalities/ traits/ character.. if somebody can differentiate it would be appriciated. |
