Third Islands cop up on porno charge

EAST New Britainís top forensic officer with Kokopo police has been arrested for allegedly being in possession of a pornographic material.
The material was found in his office computer.
This now brings the number of police officers who have since been arrested for their involvement in producing and possessing pornographic items to three, as investigations continue into the porno saga in the province.
Sgt Luke Maiboku, in his early 40s, from Yangoru, East Sepik, and head of Kokopo police scientific branch, was charged last Thursday by the drug and vice squad from Port Moresby, who are currently in the province investigating the porno saga.
ENB police said Sgt Maiboku has since been suspended on full pay and is awaiting court appearance.
The investigation team last week discovered pornographic items believed to have been downloaded from the internet on his official computer.
Haro Ori Henry from Gulf province and attached to Kokopo traffic section was charged three weeks ago for his involvement in producing explicit porno materials with a local woman.
He was charged for being in the possession of pornographic items and also for rape.
The second officer, Const John Robert, 32 from East Sepik and attached to the public safety section in Rabaul was also charged two weeks ago for allegedly producing porno materials in West New Britain while on duty travel.
He allegedly took pictures of himself and the wife of another policeman in Kimbe while they were having sex in a hotel room
Robert and Henry have both appeared for mention in the Kokopo District Court and have had their cases adjourned to later dates. http://www.thenational.com.pg/032508/nation13.htm
