Just a question..Why are our Telephone rates sooo high... You call PNG and you can't talk for long..Eg You call PNG from Japan for K50 you can talk only for 12 minute and you call Fiji for the same amount and you can talk for more than 2hrs.... Tok tu me Telicom.... is it your wages that make the bills sky high or is it Arts Somsie pocket too big?

i think the answer to your question is competition on the national level and the fact that telikom i think not going out internationally to establish links with other telecommunication companies to cut good route deals. but sure enough, the international branch(if there's such a department) needs to look into this. On the other hand, when competition in that area comes, that'll force them to look more sternly at it.
