ASIAN SHOP OWNERS SHOULD EXPLAIN USING PNG GOVERNMENT CREST (LOGO)
All members of the National Parliament, Provincial, LLGs, all Government Departments and their statutory bodies and their heads. We the citizens of PNG demand an explanation on why a shop at Erima Round-About is using the PNG Governments Crest? If the company is at fault, could their license be revoked and their operations ceased! This is total abuse at the highest level! They made us look stupid at our gateway! It simply shows that the government does not care about this nations welfare! How can one be so blind to allow such use of an independent nations icon, the national crest for that matter!
Use of the National Flag and the National Emblem is restricted to official government use as laid out in the National Identity Ordinance of 1973. (This is Papua New Guinea, July 1980, PNG Government Office of Information)
Could the relevant Government authorities ensure that foreigners respect the laws of this nation and ensure that they operate within their given limits? I have had enough of seeing foreigners from a certain origin employing policemen/women as security guards while these foreigners have been the biggest contributing factor in bribery, forgery, illegal immigration, illegal land acquisition, money laundering, cheap labor etc.
Now their new shop that was recently opened at Erima Round About which is the GATEWAY to and from PNG is using the National Governments CREST on its staff uniforms! Why? What for? Who gave them the ok to use this nations crest to be embroided or printed on their staff uniforms?
All members of the National Parliament, LLGs, all Government Departments and their statutory bodies and their heads, should now hang their head in shame! Explain to us, or tell us, the ordinary people of PNG why our nations crest is used by a foreign business house?
Or are you all telling us that PNG was sold off. Or is this government selling us out?
No wonder, all our government owned lands were taken at ease for shop constructions and all government services are defunct. Kongo Mx6
